Regulation 17 mandates rescue of 21 people to a place of safety within 120 minutes.

Daughter Craft must be launched within 2 minutes of emergency.
Speed Limitations (Standard)
0-3.5m waves: ERRV 8.8 kts, DC 14.7 kts
3.5-5.5m waves: ERRV 6.7 kts, DC 7 kts
Over 5.5m: ERRV 3.8 kts, DC cannot launch

Recovery Times
DC recovery: 12 minutes for 12 people

In the event of a helicopter ditching within the 500m zone, up to 21 personnel shall be rescued and taken to a place of safety within 2 hours. In this case, rescue craft shall be launched, or the ERRV shall commence making way towards the search area, within two minutes of being alerted to the incident.
